Dr Richard Thompson
MBChB DRCOG FPCert MRCGP
Dr Thompson trained at Birmingham University, graduating in 1979 (MB, ChB) and also holds diplomas from the Royal College GPs (MRCGP) the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (DRCOG) and the Family Planning Committee (FPCert).
His areas of interest are Atherosclerosis, Coronary Heart Disease and Lipid Management, Audit, Education (he is an accredited GP Trainer) and Management - he is Medical Advisor to the local Community Hospital and a local QOF Advisor. Dr Thompson is married with two (now grown-up) children and is an avid gardener.
Dr John Snelling
MBBS DRCOG FPCert FRCGP
Dr Snelling qualified from St. Mary's Hospital, London in 1985 (MB, BS degree) and holds the same diplomas (MRCGP, DRCOG, FPCert) and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of GPs in 2007 (FRCGP).
His special interests are Education in Primary Care (he is a GP Trainer, a Primary Care Tutor, an Independant Medical Advisor in Wales, and also an NHS Appraiser), IT and computing (he designed and built this website), Mental Health, Spiritual Health (he is a committed Christian and helps lead a local church) and Family Medicine. He also helps run an international healthcare charity, providing support to missionaries and aid workers overseas (see www.healthlink360.org).
He is married with three children, two of whom are now taller than him(!) and is heavily involved in the local music and amateur dramatic scene, both singing, acting in and directing plays and shows locally.
